My studio is located in the West End of Richmond, Virginia. I am offering private piano lessons to kids (from 5 years old) and adults. I work with beginners, intermediate, and advanced level students.
I believe that learning how to play piano is beneficial to everybody. My goal is to help students enjoy music by developing their musicality, music appreciation, and self confidence.

About Instructor
I have a Master's Degree in Music from the Russian Music Academy in Moscow.
I have been teaching piano, music theory and history for more than 40 years.
Since moving to the United States in 1996, I worked as a piano instructor at VCU Community School of the Performing Arts, Richmond Piano, and have continued to teach students at my private studio. At the same time I worked as an accompanist for the Richmond Ballet, VCU, and several churches.
I am a member of Richmond Music Teachers Association (RMTA), Virginia Music Teachers
Association (VMTA), and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
My students participate in VMTA State Music Festivals, RMTA Bach Competition, RMTA Sonata/Sonatina Festival, RMTA Student Recital Series and other concerts, they also take VMTA Theory and Sightreading Tests.
Piano Lessons
Piano lessons are private, on a weekly basis for 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on student's needs.
I do online (Zoom) lessons when students can't come to my Studio.
I use a traditional methodology based on a famous Russian piano school.
Students play mostly classical music, but also contemporary, pop and jazz music (depends on interests of students).
Students are encouraged to participate in recitals that help them develop performance skills and self confidence. Working on their psychology of performance is part of my teaching.
I give new students one free lesson/orientation.
